Yes, you level up in which you get stat points. You stop getting stat points and the max level 20 and then begin to acquire only skills. This game is mainly strategy based so level is that big of a deal- it is mainly the skills you have and your personal skills that determine your success.

As with quest, I believe that the main reason is to gain experience, get skills, gold, and that sort of stuff.
Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.
Hope that helps.

Well your have the right info but not he picture.

You level up to Level 20, which happens relativly fast. Questing is one of the best ways to get to level 20 as you get more experiance for quests rather than fighting. After that there are no more levels.

After that point the game focuses more on the stuuf you get (armor, weapons, skills, etc), areas to explore, PvP, GvG, and so on.

The idea is that everyone can play on a more level playing feild. How well you do in the game is baced on you as a player rather than the level of you avatar.

The level cap is 20 (hehe.. had to make it big... sorry.

This is because this game is skill based. No. You cannot "level up and be the best". If you have that mentality, then it's time to go buy World of Warcraft or Everquest 2 or one of those sucky grind-based games... or Runescape if you don't want monthly fees. haha... that game is pretty much you described "level up and be the best". So you may be asking "how can a game be good if the levels stop at 20? well how the hell is any game good? It has lots of stuff to do. There are missions that you must progress through which are fun and action packed. There are also Explorable Areas that you can travel through. These have no objectives except for what you want to do... and maybe a sidequest here and there (like taking a box to some guy in the middle of nowhere). You must use tactical and planning skills to be the best... And become part of whatever team or guild you play with. This is so true infact that my guild killed a bunch of others while having many people below the level cap of 20... Even a level 11 who fared extremely well against the level 20 premades. In this game, levels give you almost nothing except for 2 things: attribute points which max out at 200, and HP. Each level also gives you a Skill Point used to buy skills. So woo... what does leveling do? nothing. get over it

you dont get to be the best by being online the longest and killing ten million rats and getting enough levels to squash a newcomer

what to do after level 20?

find things
have fun
explore
works for me

and some people like the pvp *shrug*

well i do not know if someone has answerd what im gonna say but ill just make sure my answer is more informative than anyone elses. it does not sound like you know much about the game, but if you do exuse me from all the baisic information im giving with my answer.

there is lvling but only to lvl 20 and there is a way to be the best except not by lvling. this game is not like most other games where the longer time you have to lvl up the better your char. or player is, once you get to lvl 20 you start working on your skills and builds, this is what will make you the best. this game is about strategy and skill not about time, as i said before. and the only thing you do is quest is completly wrong! this game is highly a pvp game, it also has exelent pve missions two. the pvp is awsome, you can do guild battles, which is where you and your guild (baisically your team, but you must be accepted by the guild leader to get in) fight other guilds for the position of #1. in guild battles you fight the other guild with 8 players from your guild against 8 players from there guild and they battle untill one of the teams guild lore has fallen. the guild lore is like a ghost and befor you can kill him you must kill the...correct me if im wrong...archanist. once you kill the guild lore the guild battle is over, and the team with the standing guildlore wins. there are catapults that make the battle alot more intresting, but they can only be used if you bring the...repair kit? (i think).this just adds a little fun to the battle also you can go into the tombs and fight, this is where you fight with 7 other player (8 including you) to hold the hall of heros. you can fight with some guild members or just other random people i am not sure what prize you get from holding the hall of heros but i read in one of the "ask tank" articles at www.photics.com that when him and some of his guildmates held the postion of hall of heros for a while. after he finally lost he was walking around with a stick in his hand :/ dont know why this would be special but this is the like prof that you held the hall of heros for a while. i dont know if they changed that but that is what i heard. there is also a gladiators arena, but i dont know to much about this because i never went there.

i hole all this helps you more than it confusses you, and i hope you didnt know this cause it was alot of typing and editing
